Bed Bug Detection Dog

Coming soon - Dogs are in training!

Bed bug detection dogs have become a popular alternative method to detect bed bug infestations.  A well trained canine and handler can yield accurate results.  And will often reveal infestations that a professional visual inspection has missed.  Our dog has been trained to alert on a very small number of live bed bugs.  She can differentiate between a live and old infestation.

Due to their small size bed bugs are able to hide in difficult to reach locations.  A professional visual inspection of such areas are extremely time consuming and can be very costly.   For larger scale operations visual inspections are simply not practical.

Advantages of using a bed bug detection dog

Our dog can alert on bed bugs and eggs in locations that would be easily missed by an inspector.  This includes places such as power outlets, caulk cracks, joints between walls, baseboards, carpet track strips, upholstery, a pile of clothing, under beds, picture frames, furniture crevices, heavy entertainment consoles or a toy box filled with stuffed toys.   Using a bed bug detection dog all this can be done without having to take apart, lift and move the objects.

Our bed bug detection dog unit can conduct thorough periodic inspections of premises in a quick and cost effective manner.

Bed bugs in certain locations can be very difficult to detect.  It is prudent to employ a variety of different methods.  The more bed bug detection tools you can deploy, the greater the chance of detecting infestations early on.  Early detection is beneficial as eliminating the infestation becomes quicker, easier and therefore less costly.
